Video Interaction Training (VIT) – a Dutch method of improving interpersonal communication with the use of video recordings. The method has been successfully used both in education area and in disability field. In VIT, communication is effectively enhanced through analysing the recordings and through focusing on the positive interactions. As a result of improvement in communication, the effectiveness of education process is increasing significantly. In the course, the method will be used on 2 levels:
1) as a tool of improving the staff’s communication competences to educate the parents effectively.
2) as a methodological approach for the training course, aimed at overcoming problems with diversified intelligence in a group and language problems. In the project, VIT will be used as management and assessment method.
Solution Focused Approach (SFA)– a method of enhancing client’s resources. As the method is based on asking questions, it is widely used in the field of education, as a tool of overcoming difficulties in education process. In the project, the method will be used both as a tool for the staff to work with the parents and as a methodological approach in the training course. As a part of the course, through asking the solution-focused questions to the parents, the staff will support the parents recognise and use their strong sides in education.
E-learning - in the project will be used on different levels:
1)to educate the staff in educational opportunities it brings (the issue will form an integral part of the course content).
2)to promote new edacational pathways to those parents who cannot attend meetings with the staff (e-learning principles will be delivered to the parents by the staff)
3)It will also be a tool of communication between project partners in the life of the project.
